Engr. Tony Abana
Engr. Tony Abana is a Project Manager & Certified Business Analyst with over 30 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry specializing in gas pipeline project execution and management and Liquified Natural Gas (L.N.G.) technology as middle management.
He was the Project Manager for the Escravos-Lagos Gas Pipeline Project (ELP II) from Sept 2010 – 2024 responsible for managing the construction of 36-inch diameter, 342-km pipeline designed to transport natural gas to industries and power plants.
He was also part of the project team that participated in the engineering design, procurement and construction of Nigeria LNG Trains 4, 5 and 6 which together produce about 12.6million tons per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Tony was the Project Leader for the Gas Distribution to Ikeja Industrial Consumers
Aug 1996 – Jul 2000 as well as the Project/Site Engineer for the Gas Supply to Aluminium Smelting Company Limited Ikot-Abasi Apr 1992 – Sept 1996.
He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Pipeline Professionals Association of Nigeria (PLAN).
